The next turn, the Confederates probe the Union left. Longstreet moves Hood's division (12 MV) and Law's Brigade (4 MV) into position to assault Little Round Top which is defended by Sykes with Barnes and Ayres divisions (combined 15 MV). The assault dr = 4 which allows 3 units to attack (Longstreet's command of 7 - 4 = 3; both units participate). The die roll modifiers are: +0[ratio(16:15)] +0[artillery(woods hex)] +1[tac(4-3)] +1[assault] = +2 attack. The result is a +1 1D/1D as the Rebs are repulsed.
